UPDATE: Metro Fire Declares Arson at James Rutter Middle School

Sacramento County, CA – On April 6, 2017 a fire at James Rutter Middle School in South Sacramento caused extensive damage to several classrooms during early morning hours. During the ensuing investigation by Metro Fire’s Arson Investigation Unit the fire has been determined as arson.

Investigators now need your help in identifying the suspect or suspects responsible for causing this fire. If you have heard or seen anyone talking about the fire, sharing details, or otherwise behaving in a way that leads you to believe they may have information contact investigators immediately.
